A heart warming story...

When you were a kid, Christmas was a time to get together with family, eat lots of delicious food, and of course, receive that present that you had been begging for over the last couple of months.

But when Cassie Zlabek received all of her Christmas money, she wasn't thinking about getting those jeans that she saw at the mall.  She wasn't planning on saving the money to go towards the next iPad.  She decided that she wanted to give back.

With all of the money that she received for Christmas, she purchased a brand new goat trimming stand and donated it to Clearwater Farm.  Her selflessness in giving back to her community was more important than keeping for herself.  The amount of generosity that she displays at her age is something that we can all take as a very positive lesson.

Thank you, Cassie!

Spring is just around the corner!

Always wanted to garden but you don’t know where to start?

Trouble finding the time to care for a whole garden by yourself?

Will your spouse not allow you to dig up any more of the yard?

Good news!  The Clearwater Farm garden is a great place to learn about gardening, make friends, and share in the benefit of fresh produce.

Whether you are a brand new or have an experienced green thumb, Clearwater Farm Garden Team wants you!  We are looking for volunteers to work 1 – 2 hours each week from Spring to Fall to help plant, maintain, and harvest the garden.  Garden Team members get to eat what we grow.  We will begin our season in a few short weeks with a Garden Team planning meeting on Saturday, April 18th at 10:00 to discuss what we will plant for our 2015 garden.  This meeting will take place at the farm!

The Garden Team will have work nights on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Friday mornings.  As we are beginning our season, Saturday morning opportunities will be available as well.  Each shift will be led by an experienced gardener.  (Want to join our ranks as a Garden Leader?  Contact us!)
