Bert Phillippi presented “All About Clearwater Farm” at the La Crosse Public Library on February 10th. It was part of the library’s Mondays on Main program. She discussed the history of the farm, our animals, our garden, our wonderful volunteers, and so much more. The crowd of about 40 was engaged and delighted by the presentation, which included a slideshow of over 200 pictures featuring the farm and its events. You can watch Bert’s presentation on YouTube.
Our monthly SPARK! program was held on Monday, February 17, and was led by Anna Rehbein. SPARK! is a free cultural program for people living with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. This month’s theme was Hearts and Harmony. Lovely throw pillows were designed by our guests. The program in March is Shamrock Shenanigans. Programs are designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support, and inspire creativity. Clearwater Farm was awarded the 2024 Soak It Up Award. This award recognizes the farm’s efforts in reducing polluted stormwater runoff. The award was presented by La Crosse Area Waters in recognition of our rain garden.
